Wastewater Project Overview
The objective was to provide an environmentally safe, effective, and efficient treatment for Total Suspended Solids (TSS) reduction to facilitate the recycling, reuse, and safe discharge of wastewater. The solution needed to meet regulatory limits for TSS while being mobile, compact, requiring minimal energy input, and operable by unskilled staff.
Challenges of Recycling Wastewater
The project required a reliable wastewater treatment system capable of efficiently reducing TSS while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The system had to be mobile and have a small footprint to fit into various operational environments. Additionally, it needed to function with little to no energy input and be simple enough for unskilled staff to operate, ensuring ease of use and reliability in different conditions.
Met Wastewater Solution of Clearflow Products
Clearflow addressed these requirements with a tailored solution involving our Gel Flocculant blocks and Treated Jute Fabric. The system was set up in two 350 BBL (barrel) weir tanks. Drilling water was pumped into the primary tank where it came into contact with the Gel Flocculant blocks. These blocks caused the rapid settling of TSS, significantly reducing the concentration of suspended solids in the water.
The partially clarified water was then transferred to the secondary tank, also known as the polishing tank. In this tank, ultrafine materials were further filtered through the Treated Fabric, ensuring the removal of any remaining fine particulates. This two-stage process not only effectively reduced TSS but also ensured that the treated water met regulatory standards for safe discharge.
The Clearflow wastewater treatment system proved to be highly effective, meeting the project’s requirements for TSS reduction. It was mobile, compact, and operated with minimal energy, making it an ideal solution for various applications. The ease of operation by unskilled staff further enhanced the system’s practicality and reliability, ensuring a successful outcome for the project.
